Why should I buy from Speed Science?

Quite simply, no BS.  That’s right, we are honest, straight up car enthusiasts offering the largest range of quality parts possible at fair prices.  We want our customers to have the best experience they have ever had with a performance parts supplier.

How does the "Available On Order" Shipping Work?

In 99% of cases the shipping info will be listed on the product. Products ship from our overseas suppliers direct to us and will then be forwarded to you. The time frames are listed and the prices will be listed in checkout.

How long will shipping take?

In 99% of cases, New Zealand customers will receive your purchase within 3 business days of ordering. However North Island customers can expect 1-2 days typically. You will receive an e-mail with track and trace information so you can track the progress of your order directly.

International customers - Shipping times vary from country to country. Australian customers should allow 5-10 working days depending on service. Other countries 10-20 working days.

I Haven't Received Tracking For My Order

You'll receive tracking automatically (via e-mail) as soon as your package is dispatched from Speed Science. The exception to this is if parts are being shipped directly from our suppliers to you.  Typically this is when something with the stock status "LOCALLY SOURCED - TYPICALLY IN STOCK WITH SUPPLIER" is shown. We are not given the tracking info and there's no automation that allows us to get this info to you.  If you would like the tracking please contact us and we'll get it for you. Chances are, the product will arrive before you get that info however.
Tracking is not supplied whilst parts are in transit between our suppliers and us.

I Would Like An Update On My Order

All Of The parts On My Order Were In Stock - Order updates are e-mailed automatically, both when we complete the order and when the courier collects it. If you haven't received these yet PLEASE CHECK SPAM.  If you are unable to find them, it means we are still processing the order.  In Stock orders are typically processed within 48 hours (not incl weekends). If it has been longer - feel free to contact us for an update.

My Order Included Parts That Were Special Order - When you placed your order you selected one of 3 freight options (or the website displayed a typical wait time).  Ocean - Consolidated Air - Express.  The time frames for these shipping methods are listed on the product pages.  Please review your order, the freight method chosen and the transit time. NOTE, order processing and stock availability can affect overall delivery time (as stated on the website)

If there is an anticipated delay due to product availability or some other factor, we will likely have been in touch with you. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM.

If you have no communication from us and more time has elapsed than the maximum listed for the freight method chosen, please contact us and we'll be happy to update you. Otherwise please sit tight.

There Is A Problem With The Product I Have Received

If your product has arrived damaged or there is some issue with fitment or application please do the following.

Keep the original packaging and courier parcel/box and send us an e-mail with pictures/explanation clearly showing the issue - the more info we have the better we can assist.

Please Note: As per our terms and conditions and other website messaging - Other than Warranty scenarios(where we cannot rectify/repair an issue), we do not offer refunds for special ordered parts or when customers have changed their mind about a purchase.

What is your refund/return policy?

We are obliged to fulfil our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.  This means we will offer a refund if a part is faulty and we cannot repair or replace it for you. We are not obligated to refund you if you change your mind on a purchase.  In some cases, a store credit will be given upon return of the goods in new condition (solely at our discretion).

Special Orders (products purchased that aren't in stock with us and ordered in specifically for customers) will not be refunded for any other reason other than those laid out in the CGA as it pertains to warranty/repair issues.

We are not obligated to refund any parts/orders if a customer changes their mind about a purchase. In some cases you can swap for another product. Any product returns or swap are at the sole discretion of Speed Science. 

Any product return will incur a 10% restocking fee.

I can’t find what I am looking for, can you get it?

We can’t stock/list everything but we have access to over 500 brands. Simply contact us with what you need and we will do our best to get it for you. 

Do you sponsor cars?

We will take any formal sponsorship proposal seriously.  Bear in mind we will expect to see a well thought out proposal, outlining how Speed Science will gain exposure from the sponsorship of your car. It's not free money and we expect a return on the investment.

Can I pick up my purchase?

Yes! The website will give you an option to pick-up from our warehouse. Just note the opening hours and make sure you come then 🙂
