Body Work and Paint - Part 1

Body Work and Paint

Speed Science Racing's K Series Frankenstein Turbo EG Drag Car.

This car has done the rounds over the years in many forms. Having collected some dust for quite some time, its now time to get it done.

Steve from Speed Science is taking on the task of building the car. Working from a small shed at home in the weekends and after work the plan is to have this on display for our Grudge Wars Drag Day in March 2024.

First up was finishing the floor and parachute mount. Next was a dummy put together. It's been kitted out with our Speed Science Open Drag Front end, sat on a set of VMS Drag Wheels. Now it all fits and functions its time for paint prep and disassembly. Sticking to its factory colour, it was painted inside and out.

Now the fun begins, reassembly.......

Build Brief: Build it at home, keep it clean and simple. Keep it light.

Goals: Running a couple of exhibition runs at the Honda Drags, followed by racing locally and around the country flying the Honda Flag.

The standard  K24 bottom and K20 head combination is hopefully going to run a season or two while we learn the car and the Fueltech system.

Attached are some photos pre-paint and after paint.
